Location: Located opposite to HDFC Bank on Indiranagar Double Road. It is walking distance (about 200 m) from Indiranagar Metro Station. Parking should not be an issue because they have valet service.

Ambience: The ambience is simple yet elegant just like other Oriental eateries. The yellow color based lighting is very apt and the combination of it with light background music gives a very relaxing feel. The pillar walls have the photographs of delicious oriental food.

Food and Beverage: The menu has a wide variety of oriental food items with the precise description so that you won’t be confused if you are hearing something for the first time. As of now, they have a good variety of mocktails on the menu, they don’t serve alcohol.

Below is the review of the food items that I tried:

Mocktails:

Berry Iced Tea: This was flavorful and refreshing. It had raspberry, cranberry, peach and green tea as a base. For the first time, I saw a mocktail which had green tea. Due to use of green tea, the bad after hit of the flavors used in mocktails were minimized. This is relatively a new concept and I liked it very much.

Ringer: This had pineapple, basil, lime and soda water with sugar. A wild looking pineapple was placed at the top of the glasses due to which the mocktail got a wild look. The taste was refreshing and the fizz was equally good.

Starters: Already mentioned about the wide variety of menu, the starters range from soups, hot appetizers, cold appetizers to the restaurant’s favorites.

Chicken Tom Yum Soup: It had fresh chunks of chicken and mushroom along with the tint of lemongrass and ginger. It went well and had the appropriate amount of spice.

Raw Mango Salad: This had Raw mango with crispy onion and crushed peanuts. It had the right balance of sweetness and sourness. I liked it very much and it can be a great option for an unconventional cold appetizer.

Shanghai Chicken Dimsums: Dimsums had a little bland filling but the chicken was very fresh. The blandness was compensated by the sweet and spicy sauces that were served with it. The presentation of dimsums in the Chinese wooden box looked appealing.

Roasted Duck Bao: Bao is a type of filled bun or bread-like open dumpling, this one had duck breast, roasted chili paste, grilled red pepper, basil and lettuce. I felt that the duck was little too sweet.

Thai Chy Chef Special Chicken: This was fried chicken cubes with hot chili beans sauce and sesame seeds. The chicken was tender and it felt good to the palate.

Banana Leaf Fish: Marinated fish with spices, wrapped in Banana leaves and grilled to perfection, this is something that I will highly recommend to order. Flavors were too scrumptious.

Lotus Stem with Honey Chilly: Thin and crispy lotus stems with honey and chilly. I felt, it was over-fried and was too much crispy. Didn’t like it very much.

Thy Mushroom Satay: Marinated and grilled Mushroom skewers with sweet and tangy flavors. Perfect treat to the vegetarians who like mushrooms., highly recommended.

Mains: I had a very little space after trying above starters but I tasted the below food items:

Thai Red Curry Prawns: Large fresh prawn pieces with the right amount of sweetness and coconut broth.

Ohn No Khao Swe: These were basically classic burmese coconut noodles dish with condiments.

I tasted the combination of above dishes in mains and they went well with each other.

Desserts:

Tub Tim Krob: Jellied water cheese nuts served in sweet coconut milk topped up with lychees and ice. It was served in a Martini Glass and was refreshing.

Coconut Panna Cotta: It was served with a berry compote, The berry flavors with nuts were amazing however the sweetened cream felt little overthickened.

Staff and Service: The staff was courteous but service needs little improvements, I’m sure they will catch up with time because as of now it’s a newly opened outlet.

Value for Money: I must say that their prices are very much value for money compared to other Oriental cuisine restaurants around.

Recommendation: Iced Teas with Green Tea, Raw Mango Salad, Banana Leaf Fish, Thy Mushroom Satay, Tub Tim Krob
